Flowers for School<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a tradition for elementary school students to give bouquets of flowers<\/a> to their teacher on the first day of school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some people hurriedly buy them on their way to school while others, to make a positive impression, prepare in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this regard, we decided to share a few tips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Flowers are Best Not Given to the Teacher?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

1. Short-lived flowers like wildflowers. Most will shed their petals by the end of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Oddly enough, flowers with a smell. Some, like Lilies for example, can give people headaches. Others can trigger allergies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Red roses<\/a>. Usually given as a declaration of love and passion, they\u2019re probably best avoided (unless you really have a thing for the teacher).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Beware market flowers, they are sometimes stale and will simply wither in the heat.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our Recommendations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

School bouquets are often made up of Dahlias, Asters and Gladioli. But the drawback with their popularity is teachers are more than familiar with them. A bit, dare we say, boring?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their other drawbacks: gladioli are too large for a first grader, and dahlias generally wither quickly in the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We highly recommend bright, light compositions of Gerberas and Sunflowers<\/a> combined with original greenery. Autumn is also the period of<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chrysanthemums, and the huge variety of shades and colors will allow the florist’s imagination to roam without affecting the purse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Red, yellow, orange, burgundy are usually the most desired and popular colors during this period of autumn. We suggest not using more than 2-3 primary colors when making a bouquet or composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use lighter shades for a younger teacher – white, cream, pink for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For older, more experienced teachers on the contrary, darker shades work well, such as green, burgundy, purple, and raspberry.<\/p>\n<\/div>
